rays=[8 to 128], shadow rays=[8 to 32], 5 max bounces, 36 seconds. I bumped up the max ray count and the matte balls look better now. Took a lot more time though

Ray scattering takes a lot of samples...

rays=[8 to 64], shadow rays=[4 to 16], 5 max bounces, 15 seconds. Im seeing some noise on the matte surfaces, but soft shadows seem resolved

Implemented soft shadows. I have it hard coded to 4 samples with halton + random offset for now
