Wanted to see if I could render some nice caustics // 128 samples per hemisphere, 128 SPP, 12 bounces, 1280x720, 11h 26m 8s, i5-12600K 16 threads

Uniform hemisphere sampling, note higher variance in light cast from ambient sphere on the right wall // same parameters as below, 28min 25s, i5-12600K 16 threads

Multi-bounce global illumination with cosine weighted sampling // 64 samples per hemisphere, 8 to 64 SPP - avg 36 SPP, confidence 0.95, tolerance 4/256, 4 to 16 SPL, 3 bounces, 1280x720, 23min 53s, i5-12600K 16 threads

Uniform Hemisphere sampling missing factor of 2 // Global illumination seems darker... // 128 samples per hemisphere, 16 SPP, 4 to 8 SPL, 2 bounces, 1280x720, 598s, i5-12600K 16 threads

Cosine weighted hemisphere sampling // perhaps bottom left of the reflective sphere seems too dark? // 128 samples per hemisphere, 8 to 16 SPP - avg 11 SPP, 0.95 confidence, 4/256 tolerance, 4 to 8 SPL, 2 bounces, 1280x720, 446s, i5-12600K 16 threads
