Scene is a little darker, but I got rid of the dark outline, and I got the contact shadow under the reflective sphere.

Reduced the fireflies, refractive spheres black outline is fixed. Still working on reflective sphere. Also, overall scene brightness is being addressed....thought I got a solution to it, but it wasnt a good one, it seems, so I got rid of it.

Double counting resolved, but the spec highlights arent big enough. Reflection/refraction problems are still there.

Render is too bright from the renderable light source I believe. Edges of reflective and refractive spheres are too dark -- fresnel issue??.
